The founder

Syndy Emade

In July 2019, Syndy Emade launched the Foundation by sitting with more than 200 people who had fled the crisis in the North-West and South-West. What she heard there, of lost homes, lost loved ones and children out of school, shaped its first campaigns.

Our journey

What we’ve done so far

Every moment below is documented, with a link to its source. Filter by programme to follow one strand of our work.

  1. December 2023Christmas Outreach

A home for a mother and her three sons

On a Christmas outreach, the team meets a visually impaired single mother living in one cramped room with her three sons. The Foundation pays a year’s rent on a larger home, renovates and furnishes it, and stocks it with food and household essentials.

The Foundation

Mission, vision & governance

Our mission

To protect vulnerable young people, deliver dignified relief to families in crisis, open doors to education and empower women and creatives — across Cameroon, Africa and the diaspora.

Our vision

An Africa where every child is safe, every family can recover from crisis, and every talent has the chance to shine.

Safeguarding first

Child-protection and safeguarding policies govern every programme, volunteer and partner.

Transparent reporting

Programme spending and outcomes are published in an annual impact report.

Community-led

Local leaders and beneficiaries help shape where and how we work.
